The screen project was inspired by geometric shapes and creating an adjustable pattern that can be interactive. People can move parts of the screen from either side and form their own personal space within the three panels.

Diamond Divider

A Geometric Screen

The diamond shapes are cut out and laminated pieces of Masonite that are curved over an inch piece of plywood. The three screens work together by drawing people into the center of the space and establishing a comfortable, personal space where a person can enjoy some privacy from the world around them.

The diamond shapes are attached to the wire using small metal loops to secure them. The shapes can then be moved and rearranged according to the conditions of the space that the divider inhabits.

The Diamond Divider creates a distinct statement when places in a space. The screen allows some light to filter through it, but creates a visual boundary between people or objects in a space.
